Title: lost it all

I had recurrent rhinitis with deviated septum, had a septoplasty in the 90s which didnt improve things and caused adhesions , I suffered for years with blocked nose but could function with job. I went for Fess not knowing about turbinates, I woke up after surgery and nurse said I had a turbinectomy, the Dr had said do you want a little thing done for snoring I said yes, after surgery things went down hill breathing shallow dry nose more reactions to irritants, lack of sleep stress and panic and anxiety , went back to complain and he blamed the rhinitis. Im a hermit now with little purpose thanks a mil conrad timon

Title: Male 21, Completely changed my life for the worst.

I was 18 when I started having sinus issues. I went to see a very recommended ENT specialist named Dr. Scott Baker. I had a ct scan done showing deviated septum and infection in the upper frontal left side sinus and left side maxillary. I went through antibiotics and nothing helped. I went through with the reduction of turbinates and my life has spiraled into depression and thoughts of not living. After numerous complaints of whats going on I had this same DR go in and open up my left side nasal cavity opening the airway. I felt like i did not have education in what he was doing. Now no doctor will acknowledge my symptoms and in all honestly thinks i\'m crazy. I feel like I have a great life and I\'m living in hell. My case doesn\'t seem to be as devestating as some so I\'m guessing the Dr left a decent portion but none the less I still have 90% of the symptoms.

Title: Empty Nose, Empty Life

On March 23rd, 2010 I went for a polyp removal in my right sinus cavity. After I had a lot of complications my doctor told me it was all in my head and referred me to one of his associates. For six months this doctor treated me but could not help me.I knew something was wrong because I was getting worse and not better, so I drove to Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, where I was diagnosed with Empty Nose Syndrome. I found out my middle and inferior turbinates were totally removed by the doctor who supposed to remove one polyp. In reality, he left the polyp and removed my middle and inferior turbinates. Mentally and physically I feel as though I\'m at the end of my rope. I was a successful corporate flight attendant before my life was taken away from me. I listened to all of your testimonials and I have all of the same symptoms. I live in the desert in Nevada, which is extremely dry. By April I have to move to the ocean in California so that I can get some relief and feel better. I am emotionally, physically and financially destroyed. I can no longer work. I am crying for help. I hope I can make it until April. I have my doubts. Sincerely, Empty Nose, Empty Life p.s. If anyone knows someone who lives by the beach anywhere in California and has a casita or studio for rent, please email me.

Title: Losing the meaning of life

I had inferior turbinate reduction surgery 3 years ago (Nov 2008) and my life is destroyed. I was a healthy young guy before and now i am a sick old man physically, mentally and psychologically. That doctor treated me like a piece of paper and thrown my well being in the rubish. I wish some good and determined doctors and scientists to find the correct treatment and save us and give us our life back. To all ENS sufferers i want to tell them to be strong and realistic and dont give up their lifes.
